The 29th Street C.A.N. is an ALL Volunteer organization with many opportunities for volunteers.

The list below is intended to give an insight into the type of volunteers needed.

Please keep in mind this list is not intended to be use as the "ONLY volunteers needed list" ALL volunteers are welcome and very much appreciated.

  

                                                    Working With The Elderly And Disabled

                            Residents Of The 29th Street Corridor

 

     Transportation: Transportation to shopping, doctor’s appointments & errands

                                 (Mileage is generously reimbursed)

 

     Social: Friendly phone calls & visits, help with letter writing & relief for family

                caregivers

 

   Home Help: Light housekeeping,  yard work & occasional meal preparation

 

                                                                                         Behind The Scenes

 Translator: Translate newsletters, flyers etc from English to Spanish, phone calls,

                       home visits

 

 Clerical: General office work such as: data input, thank you note writing,filing,

                  photocopying, running errands

 

 Community Liason: Information tables at special events, flyer distribution, phone calls,

                                      web page design, newsletters

 Business Liason: Contact local business with information, ask local business for thier

                                  support

 

 Events: Event co-ordinating, photography, fundraising, baking, food preparation
